Upgrading your CRF300L or CRF300L Rally rear suspension with a K-Tech Razor-R Lite EVO shock is one of the biggest performance improvements you can make. This guide walks you through installation and setup β and helps you choose the correct shock based on rider weight and ride style.

β οΈ Before You Start
- This installation should be performed by a qualified technician.
- Refer to the Honda service manual for torque specs.
- Use a stand to keep the rear wheel off the ground.
π§ Installation Overview
Step 1: Secure the Bike
Lift the motorcycle so the rear wheel is off the ground and the suspension is unloaded.
Step 2: Remove Mounting Bolts
Loosen and remove the top and bottom shock mounting bolts while supporting the swingarm.
Step 3: Remove Stock Shock
Carefully remove the OEM shock from the bike.
Step 4: Install K-Tech Shock
Install the new shock starting with the lower mount, then align and install the top bolt.
Step 5: Torque to Spec
Torque all fasteners to Honda factory specifications.
Step 6: Test Ride
Perform a short, low-speed test ride to confirm proper installation.

Rebound Adjustment
- Turn clockwise = more damping
- Turn counterclockwise = less damping
- Start at manufacturer baseline (~12 clicks out)
Preload Adjustment
- Increase preload for heavier riders or luggage
- Decrease preload for lighter riders
