Description
The Michelin Desert Race Baja rear tire, part number 46435, is engineered for riders who demand dependable traction and stability in deep sand and other soft-terrain conditions. Its reinforced tread blocks and optimized carcass architecture improve forward drive while reducing unsprung mass by approximately 1.1 pounds compared with the Michelin Desert Race tire. This construction helps support responsive handling without sacrificing durability during demanding off-road use.
Directional V-shaped center knobs are designed to deliver strong traction in deep sand, while the knob radius and clearance angles provide added braking support. The knobby rear tread uses a higher void ratio to help the tire maintain grip as terrain conditions change. A softer architecture further enhances contact with loose surfaces, giving riders improved control during acceleration, braking, and cornering.
Built for high-speed stability in sandy conditions, the Michelin Desert Race Baja combines a reinforced tread design with a soft, compliant feel for serious off-road performance. This rear motorcycle tire is sized 140/80-18 with a 70R rating and is a suitable choice for Baja-style riding, desert racing, and recreational use on soft ground. Install and operate according to the motorcycle and tire manufacturer recommendations.
