The CRF50F is Honda's smallest gas-powered off-road trail bike. Its air-cooled 49cc four-stroke engine, carburetor, kickstarter and low seat keep the motorcycle approachable and relatively simple to maintain.
The automatic clutch removes the hand-clutch lever, but it does not make this an automatic transmission. The rider still selects all three gears with the left-foot shift pedal. Honda's 2026 and 2027 manuals publish the same operating, maintenance and mechanical specifications, and CRF's Only has confirmed the applicable 2026–2027 fitment carryover.
Honda used the XR50R name for 2000–2003 and the CRF50F name beginning in 2004. Many aftermarket listings group them as a 2000-and-newer application because numerous parts overlap. That does not guarantee that every body, engine, chassis or control part fits every year. Review each product's exact application before ordering.

Honda's 2026 and 2027 owner information publishes the same core engine, drivetrain, tire and service specifications. Follow the manual supplied with the motorcycle whenever a procedure or torque value matters.
Useful numbers: Seat height is 21.6 inches, wheelbase is approximately 36 inches and curb weight is 111 lb. Honda specifies one rider, no passenger or cargo, and an 88-lb maximum combined rider-and-accessory load. Honda does not publish a stock chain-link count, so confirm the installed gearing, axle position and required length before cutting a replacement chain.
