- This purchase is for a set of engine guards for the above bike model. The steel tubing is bolted to the subframe of the bike. The steel tubing has multiple attachment points preventing them from rotating in the event of a low side. It is ideal for engine guards since it can absorb more impact force onto itself and therefore reduce the impact on the bike. These new engine guards also feature replaceable skid plates that can be inexpensively replaceable if needed. No need to purchase a new kit after an accident. Think of them as protection for your protection. We use highest grade commercially available 12.9(177,000 psi in tensile strength) wherever possible. Rest assured that you are getting the best material commercially available.
