CRF250X'04-17 - Flatland Racing Skid Plate
Description
Flatland skid plates are made of rugged 3/16" aluminum. They feature tig welded engine guards.
Installation is an easy bolt on procedure with all mounting hardware included!
It also offers a built in clean out slot and oil plug hole, along with a hole for oil screen removal, making these among the best in the business!

This skid plate is so awesome. its holds up very well for my bike as i do alot of tough woods riding. is pretty dang light also. is easy to take off for oil changes. one thing i noticed is the plate made the engine louder. some ruber between the frame and the problem was fixed.

I ahve been using this skid plate for 2 years now and have had many crashes. The skid plate has held together awesome with only a minor crack in one of the welds. The price is A+ and the installation is a simple 15-20 minutes. It does cause a little mess with oil changes and needs to be removed occasionaly for deep cleaning. Be sure to use some grease on all the bolts for easy removal later on.

Good quality, strong. Needed to bend the front tabs in order to fit my 2006 CRF250
X. No instructions, but easy to figure out and install. I wish it protected the water pump and oil filter more from the front. Not perfect, but good.

Strong, flat, easy to fit and install. Some engine noise, but to be expected. When changing oil filter you may need to disassembly rear and rotate forward.

Couldn't ask for a cleaner fit and finsh.
Thick but FLAT aluminum makes for a minimum in lost ground clearance. The plate follows the contour of the frame perfectly. Nice CNC'ed clamps to grab the fram on the back side. uses existing bolt hols for the plastic gaurd on the front. (plastic gaurds can take a hike)
TIG welded on side gaurds wrap up nice and tight to the engine. I don't expect to have to worry much with this on my bike.
This skid plate (like all others I'd assume) relfects alot of the bottom end engine noise back up at the rider. Good & bad I suppose. I could definately tell if anything was going wrong in my engine now, but I lost the ultra quiteness of the CRF engine. Used to be that other than exhaust all I could hear was the chain. Oh well. Miles ahead of nothing at all...
