CRF450L/RL'19-25 - BajaWorx Rallye Windscreen

This is a well designed windshield--looks good and is proportionate to the bike, seems durable. Drove into a 20mph headwind, my speed 65, and was very happy with the reduction in turbulence. It's minimal in size but you can crouch behind it and the effect is dramatic. Don't think it will get in the way of off roading but will find out soon enough. Directions are needlessly complicated. I located the template on the shroud as step 1. Then I went rogue. I skipped their suggestion to remove the headlight from the motorcycle and disconnect wiring, blinkers, etc. Instead I simply (and it is simple) removed the black painted bolts toward the top on each side of the headlight shroud. Then using a ratchet with a Phillips head, reached behind the shroud on both sides and unscrewed the pair of Phillips head screws and attached 1" bracket. Carefully moved the shroud forward (an inch?any more and you might break it) from the headlight now to thread the 4 attachment bolts for the windshield through the now drilled shroud and through the included back brace. Held the backside windshield captive nuts in a box end wrench and starting with the bottom 2 nuts tightened the windshield, then did the same with the top 2. Then reinstalled the 1" brackets and the black painted side bolts. Key is exact template placement, the first step. The rest will take about an hour.
