There are 4 bolts, 4 washers, and 2 black nylon spacers in the hardware package.
1- Remove the stock left and right side bolts that hold the seat in place. These are the long
stainless steel ones towards the rear of the seat.
There is a stock collar washer behind each
stock bolt. Save these for the rack installation.
2 - Remove the 2 bolts, that look the same as the seat bolts, located at the rear of the rear
fender. Save the collar washers from these bolts too, and keep them separate from the ones
from the seat bolts because they are different sizes.
3 - Lift up the rear of the seat enough to slip the front mounts of the rack into place, but dont
remove the seat from the bike. Make sure the stock collar washers are in place at the seat holes
and slide the rack into position. Put the seat back down so it is flush and all the holes line up.
Hand tighten one longer bolt per side.
4 - Line up the rear mounting holes on the rack to the rear holes on your bike. With the stock
collar washer in place, put one black nylon spacer in between the rack mounting hole and the
collar washer, then hand tighten one shorter bolt per side. Do one side at a time.
5 - Tighten up all 4 bolts and enjoy your rack!
