CRF250L Rally - Race Tech High Performance Fork Spring Kit
In stock form, the CRF250L Rally forks, featuring a single spring design are under-sprung for any rider over 100 pounds. With limited travel, adding a stiffer spring in the right leg only per the stock design was not a viable option. Race Tech instead offers a Hi-Performance Spring Kit to add a stiffer spring to the left fork. (The overall spring rate in the forks is the average spring rate between both legs.) With the stock spring rate only useful to a 100lb. novice rider, this upgrade will make a drastic improvement in the CRF250L's handling for most riders.
Measure oil volume - not level. Stock the left leg is damping only,
right leg is spring only. The stock spring is way too soft. RT spring
kit adds spring to the left leg and retains the stock spring in the
right leg. This increases the total spring rate. RT spring calculator
calculates only the new spring you are adding to damping leg. RT Fork
Spring Kit includes an adapter kit to add a spring to the Damper leg.
Total spring rate is a combination of both springs. No need to
disassemble the right leg unless its due for a rebuild or you want to
put in good oil.

Nice kit went together very easily once they sent me info on where the second small spring went,I have a crf250 rally,,needs better instruction ,but seems to cure most of front end problems,it’s a crf250rally not a race bike so any improvement is good,works good crf's only is only one whole sells this kit with extra spring included.now waiting on instruction on what order collars and spacer go in rear shock kit

Made a big difference. I don’t mind the suspension now. Face it’s a trail bike not a dirt bike.

I purchased this RaceTech fork upgrade kit (along with the RaceTech rear shock spring kit) from CRFs Only because the suspension on my 2017 Honda CRF250L Rally felt too softly-sprung for my 6’4” 200lb body…okay, it absolutely was too soft from the factory! Thankfully RaceTech (and CRFs Only) have developed a “fix” for it. I purchased the parts from CRFs Only instead of buying directly from RaceTech, and I’m glad I did! The RaceTech spring/spacer set-up provides only 1 spring, several flat washers, and a spacer; the CRFs Only kit also includes a 2nd spring (rebound spring) that actually makes the spring kit perform dramatically better.
As I went to install the kit, I had questions (I’m not a great home mechanic) about where this or that piece should go. I telephoned CRFs Only and spoke with Ken; he walked me through everything. Once I spoke with CRFs Only, the only remaining questions I had were the correct torque values for the fork pinch bolts.
If you’re looking for better handling from your CRF250L Rally, this is a fantastic upgrade and well worth the money…oh, and buy it from CRFs Only instead of from other places because they actually will provide you with the complete and best way to complete the upgrade.
My ONLY gripe is that the upgrade kit should come with detailed installation instructions (or at least a link to an online video showing the correct installation method) and a sheet with the correct torque values for when the parts are replaced.
