I agree, I had to cut this to get it to fit.. and even then it was a rough fit..
I have had it for over under a year and it looks like crap.. First hit on rocks its almost in pieces..
For a company to state "If you dont like it, dont buy it.." Poor form.

E-Line Pipe Guard is just like all E-Line components they look good but don't fit or meet the durability testing of dirt bikes. I too had to trim and fit this component, to include an E-Line Skid Plate that had; no drain holes, extra holes exposing my 450's coolant resevior to damage, and only one incorrectly engineered support bracket that does't fit the contour of my 450s frame, E-Line customer support stated. "If you don't like our products don't buy them !" ...no problem... E-Line I won't buy them and I plan on telling every dirt biker I know how truly poor your plastic products fit and perform, as they are not true composite parts. They are foo foo expensive plastic parts.

Installed on an 05 450x powerbomb. Guard needed quite a bit of trimming off the lower rear to clear the oil fill plug. CF is easy to trim with a Dremel and i didnt remove anything that was necessary for protection. My guard gives plenty of front, side, and clothing protection. I have damaged plenty of headers to feel this E-line guard will do its job well. I give it a 4 b/c of this. I certainly expect a guard to fit and dont think anyone paying this much needs to spend another 1/2hr trimming to fit- but i did and now am quite happy with it.
Whatever. If you want a great guard for your powerbomb- this is it. Just be aware it may not fit out of the box.

This is a well made product, no doubt about it. For the cost, I dont think its worth it.
Realistically a new FMF powerbomb header is $140 USD anyways.. So for $94 its a bit of false economy.
BUT, by far the biggest issue! If you have Radiator gaurds (particually stock honda gaurds(australia). This will NOT fit! I had to cut a large portion of it off, because as mentioned by someone else, it is designed to protect the top of the pipe not the side/bottom which is reliculous. Its almost like its designed so when I look down when riding I can say "oooooooo I have a carbon fibre pipe gaurd!".
If you want a guard to protect from heat its not bad.. But to protect the pipe it is fatally flawed. As above its fit is not perfect and required a fair bit of work to make it happen.

This product is sturdy, stronge and works to keep the hot header from burning you or your riding gear. However, I think the design is a bit off. It is made to fit on the top of the pipe instead of the side. If you tip the bike over on a rock, it's the side that will be damaged. I was able to force mine down a little, but am not real happy with how it fits. It does protect me from burns, but if I hit a rock just right, it will do nothing to protect the pipe.
