2008 CRF150f, all stock, had an issue with sputtering and cutting out. Tried carb work, nothing helped. Confirmed the coil was good, .. still ran very bad with stock CDI box (made in Brazil). I took a chance and ordered the BBR Rev Box and installed it, ... the bike runs fantastic !!! Thanks BBR !! A wonderful product !! Highly recommended !!
RE: stock CDI, I removed some of the potting material and noticed BROKEN GLASS is used as inert filler material to take up space and most likely save patting material. I suspect the broken glass chunks rattling around on the circuit board have caused some sort of damage. Nice job guys, did you forget that motorcycles vibrate? Word of advice … never buy a stock replacement CDI box. I will post the tear down on y-tube.
