Honda CRF230L - I love D606s. I read complaints about poor tire life, but that was from a heavier, higher HP bike. My motorcycle mechanic mentioned that my bike is only 264 pounds and 230cc and he was right. Works great both 90% dirt / 10% road, and after injury, 90% road / 10% dirt. I commute 38 miles a day and go 75 mph on Los Angeles freeways, sun or rain. For grip on the road, I don't trust them as much as tires on my Honda GL1800, but of course, that is a 1,000 pound bike and tires with very short life.

Performs very well in a wide variety of terrain. From muddy slick trails to grassy fields and rocks. I ride on the road quite a bit also. The only negative I have noticed is that it has a strange high pitched whine at highway speeds that comes and goes like a siren almost. It may get quieter with time, and if you don't ride roads much, it will never bother you.
