Description

CRF's Only Fuel Screw

This is a CRF's Only exclusive product. Designed by CRF's Only and manufactured in the U.S! This fuel screw is .22" shorter than other fuel screws on the market. If you have large hands this T-handle fuel screw will give you more room between the end of the screw and the starter on CRF X models. This makes fuel screw adjustments quick and easy. Made of brass and expertly machined by Kouba. Fits all FCR carbs.

NOTE: Optional Fuel Screw Parts Kit includes spring, washer and o-ring and is highly recommended.

FITMENT: This fuel screw ONLY fits the following carbureted models: CRF150R, CRF250R, CRF250X, CRF450R, CRF450X.  It does NOT fit any other CRF model.  Does NOT fit the CRF150F, CRF230F or CRF230L.

*** CRF's Only Response *** A small batch of these had a manufacturing tolerance issue causing what Bruce describes. We have fixed this issue and offered Bruce a free replacement. *** CRF's Only Response *** The distance between the seating shoulder and the beginning of the threads is too long. It's longer than the OEM, and I've verified this with my dial calipers. So on my crf250x it was completely out of thread when it was turned out 2.5 turns. It's to be expected that there will be some manufacturer variance in the Keihin FCR carb, and that's why not everyone is having this issue. But any fuel screw for this carb should be able to go out 4.0 turns before it falls out in your hand. It's too bad because otherwise it's a well made piece. Lazy prototype engineers I guess. Hey CRF's Only - you should be demanding some accountability from your vender on this.

Pros The screw is much easier to adjust. I love that about it. Cons Even though I installed the o-ring, washer, spring, correctly, the screw backed out both times I have rode my 450x. Thanks to the starter the screw couldn't fall fully out so I still have it, but I need some advise on how to keep it from backing out. Just so you know I'm not an idiot, I had it out 2 1/4 turns, so the spring had tension. I also tried keeping the screw less turns out, but that resulted in decel popping. Please tell me their's a fix so I can give it a good rating.

Seemed to be a good fuel screw...then it fell out on the way to track and it is lost somewhere on the interstate. Had to pack up and head home Was set at 2 1/4 turns out. Now waiting for replacement spring, washer, screw, and o-ring from Honda.
