I know these braces will not stand to a hard impact. I've already had one hard left side impact and the brace did not hold up at all. It completly folded! I did have to buy a new radiator. But, Works Connection backed up their product and shipped me a new brace for free and appologized for the radiator! To be fair to W.C., I'm not sure if any brace would have held up to that impact. So I'll give them the benefit and give them a 3 out of 5! Also, on my bike these braces show themselves. I personally love it. The way the radiator shrouds are molded on the '06, they show the bottom half of the brace. It looks good!
I bought theese braces for my '06 450R and had a problem installing them with an IMS 3.2 gal gas tank. But there is a solution I found out (by accident). Simply switch the left and right side braces and the holes will all line up except for the (new) right side frame mounting hole. You only have to elongate that hole and everything will line right up. Without swapping the braces, the holes will not even come close to lining up for installation!
**NOTE; this is the situation with an IMS 3.2 gal tank.**
