CRF450X'05-17 - IMS 4.0 Gal. Fuel Tank
Description
IMS fuel tanks are race tested under the tightest conditions by many of the top riders. They are designed to carry maximum fuel without encumbering the rider with a bulky, wide tank. IMS Fuel Tanks distribute the fuel low, for the least affects on handling with a full tank. All tanks are constructed of Polyethylene Crosslink, which is the strongest and lightest plastic available.

I do not like this tank. It is supposed to fit a 2009 CRF450x, but required a part from a 2008 that I had to identify and order separately. Took over a month to track everything down. Routing the hoses is a nightmare. Putting it on and taking it off is a pain. Ugly and wide. I\'m gonna put this up on a shelf and save for the once in a lifetime trip. Just ordered a 3.2 gallon tank which is apparently plug and play and feels more integrated.

I BOUGHT ONE ,TOOK IT HOME ,STRIPPED MY BIKE DOWN,SET IT ON THE BIKE. WAITED 5 MIN. TOOK IT OFF AND PUT IT BACK IN THE BOX AND RETURNED IT. THEN BOUGHT A 3.2gal. I get just over a hundred miles with my3.2 I think the 4.0 gal is way too bulky, it makes you look like your running in the DAKAR !!

I agree this is big and ugly with ugly valves. It works.
running the hoses was the only hard part but that was it. if you need a lot of gas go fot it. I have both of the IMS tanks and this was a lot of gas to have on your bike.

This has no bling factor at all. Its ugly as sin. The Valves are cheap. On the up side it does work and it holds gas. Not to hard to put on. This product definetly came out of the south side of China, its cheap. It doesn't fit the frame very well. It jacks the seat up a little as well. The least they could have done is toss in a sticker kit or something.
