After upgrading tires from stock and going +4 teeth on the rear sprocket on my 2022 Honda CRF300L Rally, I needed to correct the speedometer.
5 stars. The device works exactly as it should. Once installed, it’s truly plug-and-play and easy to program. My speedo is now more accurate now than stock.
-1 star. Installation is a hassle. You have to remove the seat and most of the left-side fairings, and the connector is buried and difficult to access. Not really 12oclocklabs’ fault, but it’s part of the process.
-1 star. The online calculator could also be improved. The required model number is hard to see (mine was under dark epoxy), and the inputs aren’t very intuitive. I had to use Google AI to cross-check tire size, sprockets, and stock error to get the correct value (−11.7%). Using partial inputs or simple MPH difference gave inconsistent results.
So thus, three stars. Great product that delivers, but expect a tedious install and some extra effort dialing it in. If I wasn’t concerned about keeping the odometer accurate, I’d probably just live with the MPH difference.
