Finally got around to installing the EJK on my CRF300L Rally. I watched several YouTube videos. All the videos showed 250 Hondas and while the bikes are very similar there are some differences. None of the videos said anything about removing the tank to access the plug where the EJK connects. As I tried to follow the videos I read a post saying remove the tank. Absolutely unscrew the four tank bolts. No reason to completely remove it, just get it out of the way. Access to the plug is right there, easy and quick. I’m not a mechanic but I found it simple to do, the fairings are a different story as there are three types of Allen head screws and finding the right ones to put it back together is challenging.
Now that the EJK is installed (I did not change the programming) there is a much crisper throttle response as the RPM’s climb. Much stronger through the gears. Before I installed the EJK my bike felt restricted around 5,000 RMP’s. Now it’ comfortable at 5,000 and quickly accelerates up to the red line. Much improved. Thanks CRFONLY great improvement to my little 300.
