It is true that build to order seats from Seat Concepts are taking longer than the original estimate they provided. They are now telling us 8-12 weeks and this can vary without notice from them. We do have some seats in stock but it is not feasible to have all possible combinations of seat heights, cover materials of kits and complete seats. We have emailed Erick to see if he is open to taking a seat we have in stock.

Ordered seat 10/2/21. As of 1/5/22 still no seat or any word on when it will arrive. It was supposed to be 8 - 10 weeks. Don't waste your money pre-paying for the seat and shipping when you will have no idea when or even if you will ever get it.

I took this seat on an 800 mile trip through Montana and Canada, and I really wasn't impressed. I think it was a marginal improvement on the original, so I'll give it 2 stars instead of 1. But for almost $300, and all of the praise in other reviews, I was expecting a very noticeable improvement. My butt was still aching after about the first 50 or so miles of riding each day, which is about how I felt on the stock seat. I got the grippy option, and it's definitely grippier than the original, but I didn't really notice that making any difference in terms of comfort or control. All in all, I'd say skip it. I've put about a thousand miles on it, and I think it's probably the most underwhelming way you could spend $275 improving your bike.

Extremely comfortable in comparison to the factory seat. I went with the gripper top. It is very grippy, you definitely won't find yourself slipping around on the seat. The seat remains low and narrow on the tank and allows plenty of movement and ability to get your feet to the ground quickly.

Great fit, gripper top glues you to the bike, can ride for longer now that it is much more comfortable.

Ordered a seat concepts seat. Requested all red carbon fiber. Email responses were very quick. Seat was shipped out 1 day later. Took a week to go from California to NY, but it bolted right on and was ready to go. The foam didn't seem much different from the stock foam, but the extra width and the flatter shape actually fits the bones of my butt so that my weight isn't being supported by just my tailbone. After 2 hours of seat time and very little pain, I give this seat a 5 star rating over the stock seat. Worth every penny in my opinion. Now I can actually stand to ride my bike for more than 20 minutes. I just don't understand why the stock seats are made so terribly uncomfortable for something you intend to ride for long periods of time.

Great seat if you plan to ride long distances or off-road. I ordered the red carbon and black gripper seat- on the road I can ride for an hour before I want to stand up but I've been able to go three hours before needing a rest. The gripper is useful off road or taking off- either way you don't have to worry about sliding back. Plus it looks so much better than the OEM seat.
