Originally I was going to order a different battery; however CRF's contacted me letting me know it was out of stock, and suggested this option. When I received it, I thought at first there was no way this tiny (And I mean tiny) little battery was meant for my bike. (Crf250L) But it came with rubber block shims to shore it up in the large battery compartment. Install was basic, and it works great. Had it in the bike for approx 8 months now, and never skipped a beat. Who knew such a tiny battery could be so powerful.

The manufacturer\'s reply: \"They can be used however, they will not automatically shut off once fully charged. This can cause damage to the battery. Better to purchase the Fire Power Lithium Ion battery charger CRF\'s Only offers.\"

Overall review is it`s a very good battery and solid (lightweight) replacement for the OEM battery that comes with the bike. Have had no issues so far.
To answer another customers questions about it - it\'s shorter than the standard battery but the manufacturer includes thick double stick foam inserts to place below the battery so that it sits in the same level as the stock battery. Battery width and depth are nearly identical to stock, it\'s just shorter.

Works great in my CRF230. Plenty of amps for starting. Very lightweight, about 3 pounds lighter than stock battery. Contrary to the description, foam spacers are required to fit the stock battery box as this battery is not as tall as the stock battery. However, the foam spacers are included and work well. Highly recommended!
