Bought my 2004 crf250x and it had sat awhile. It had some bog under hard acceleration. I bought this kit and a boysen quickshot 2. All problems are gone. It runs great and is such a fun bike now. Highly recommend.

I installed the jets and needle per JD instructions on a new 2012 CRF250x and WOW it made a HUGE difference in how it runs. It starts easily, idles smooth and rips! First I cut out the top of the air box under the seat with a heated utility knife, then installed a Yoshimura RS2 slip-on pipe. I was going to have the Honda shop install the jets but couldn't wait so I decided to give it a try and it was actually pretty easy to do following the "how to" article and JD instructions. Money well spent.

I went with a 160 main, the red needle recommended for my area, a K & N airfilter, drilled out part of the baffle in the exhaust and opened up the top of the air box as recommended by the crf only representative and per the instructions in the JD kit. The bike starts easier, has way more pull, and is not near as cold natured as it used to be. The kit was easy to install and worked straight out of the box with no other adjustments. Worth every penny.

This is a very nice kit! Comes well packaged in a storage box with clear directions. It really wakes up the bike. I was running the NCYS needle and such, but this kit works better and really made a difference with the FMF Q4 exhaust.

This kit is pretty sweet, i bought it for my FMF system so i dont run to rich and when you have set right it works amazing, the down side is that you have to cut a hole on the of the air box, for the 2008 CRF250X's anyways, this is bad because if you right in a dusty place like i do your air filter gets dirty pretty good. Also is does increase your throttle response.

I rode my stock 250X several times before I got tired of the "bog" and cold naturedness that is so characteristic with this bike. I had heard good things about the JD kits so I forked up the extra money and tried one. It came with several more mains than other kits, a pilot, 2 needles, o-ring mod for pre-'07 bikes and instructions on the air box mod. At 250ft above sea level I went with the #158 main, #42 pilot, and red needle with clip on 5th groove from top. I also did the air box mod and installed the CRF's only extended fuel screw (set at 1 7/8 out) for precise adjustments on the trail. This bike WOKE UP, has tons of power and runs better than it ever has. It's not even cold natured anymore and the rough idle and bog went away. Though it is very time consuming, I highly recommend pulling the carb completely off the bike as I did for inspection and cleaning before jetting it rather than just jetting it on the bike. That way you can be sure you're getting the most out of the jets by not putting them in a dirty or damaged carb. This is not a carb set up you want to have to tear into hopefully more than once. (Tip: After swinging the rear sub-frame up, lift the rear of the bike from the top of the sub-frame with a hoist just enough to loosen and remove the top rear shock bolt. A jack under the rear of the engine also works. Push the shock back toward the rear of the swing arm and the carb will come straight back and out) Spend the extra money and get this kit. You won't be sorry!!

This kit was recomended by the dealer when we bought the bike, stock it wouldn't hardly run without the choke on, I put the kit in right away and it is awsome, what a difference, when cold just choke it and 3 quick squirts of the throttle and it starts first or second kick.

Got the kit and the end result is wow!!! This thing pulls like it has an extra 50cc. I live at 6,000 and ride 8,000 and up so I cant wait to ride it more! To save those of you thinking about the kit, it is a little more labor intensive than you think. I had little issue with the pilot, main or needle, all are pretty easy to access. The o ring mod is the one I cursed while attempting. Basically you need to pull the carb out of the front connection tube and airbox connection. Flip up your rear sub frame and then turn the carb 90 degrees to access the area for the o ring mod. Doing it in place is nearly impossible. To get the airbox connection back onto the carb, hit the rubber with a spritz of silicone spray and place your hand inside the intake box to force it back onto the carb. This is an oversimplified step overview, but hopefully it saves you time and frustration!!!

I recently moved from Denver to sea level so I needed to rejet my bike. I have very little jetting experience and have always hated touching a carburator. I read the reviews and trusted what people were saying so I thought I would give it a try rather than paying $60 for someone to retune the carb here. I opened up the airbox, but not how they suggested in the instructions. I simply took the snorkel off and cut the two slots out just below where the snorkel was. I did not remove the rivets or make any major hacks to the airbox. I feel that turned out really well an it almost looks stock. The instructions make it seem like you can just turn the carb to get to everything but that is not true. I raised the back half of the bike and removed the top bolt on the rear shock. I could then pull the carb off the two snorkels and move it around to get access to everything, but I did not have to remove it. I installed the kit today with the suggested settings and used the thinner rubberband. I am not sure if it is because I am coming down in elevation or what but the bike was incredible. It really was like a new bike. It idled great, started great, and ran great. NO BOG and 2nd gear wheelies no problem. I have no other mods to the bike and a 3 year old sparkplug. Sparkplug is next.

This kit is awesome. I opened up the air box (ccc) , put in the red needle from the kit with the clip five from the top. Put in the 160 main jet. Stock exhaust and air filter. Started right up. Now the bike pulls truly forceful wheelies in the first three gears by just cracking the throttle open. It was impossible to that even in first gear before the mod. I did not put in the pilot jet or O ring. Main jet was easy to get to. Needle was really hard to get to. Magnetize the Allen wrench to remove and install the needle holder. And all I really wanted was to get rid of the bog. That is totally gone now.

This product is worth every cent. Ever since I installed an R cam in my 250X, it's been hard to start and would bog out. This kit took care of that problem and I'm very impressed. Very easy to install, too.

Awesome kit a must have. Installed on my "06"CRF250x and it was like getting a new bike. Fast throttle response and lots of power. Good instructions on mods but the pictures are not the easiest to see. Still very easy to install awesome BUY!

I modified my air box, installed the Twin Air Powerflow and JDs kit in my 2004 CRF250X (stock exhaust including muffler insert)... INCREDIBLE! It's a whole new bike. Worth every cent. I would pay twice as much after having "ridden" the results. Highly recommended.

Good cannot describe the rating for this product I have an 04 250X that had a bad case of the bog and with the mods I did the bog only got worse. I bought the kit being sceptical and installed in. I can only say that I was totaly blown away by the change in my bike the low end power gain is nothing less than increadible, the bog issue I had is gone. This is the best money I spent to bring out the performace of the 250X, it is like having a brand new bike.
