Description

Optimized for hard terrain like rocks or blasting through hard-packed trails or clay race tracks, the Bridgestone Battlecross X40 Off-Road Tire is the ideal choice for riders in intermediate to hard terrains.

As with any tire, traction is the name of the game.  When you look at the rear tire, you’ll see these knobbies have tread lugs that are closely spaced together.  More lugs mean more contact points, which provides optimum traction to drive you forward on harder terrain.

Bridgestone’s convex “Castle Block” technology on the rear extends all the way across the tire. Essentially, secondary raised lugs atop the primary lug, Castle Block technology gives more surface area and more “bite” for enhanced traction in hard-packed environments, both under braking and acceleration.1

The X40 also features Cooling Fins built into the sidewall of the tire to better dissipate heat which provides more consistent tire performance.1

Like the rear tire, the X40 front also features a high lug count that are closer together, ideal for hard terrain. Bridgestone’s Asymmetric Tread Pattern gives ideal tread placement under all conditions, whether you’re accelerating, braking, or leaning the bike over.

  • Available in most big bike sizes.
  • Front tire features Asymmetric Tread Pattern which optimizes block placement to achieve stable grip under braking and cornering.
  • Rear tires feature Cooling Fins on the sidewall for better heat dispersion which provides more consistent tire performance.1
  • Convex “Castle Block” (rear) offers enhanced traction under acceleration and braking. The “block within a block” gives twice the square edges for more bite.1
  • Comparable tires: Dunlop MX53 & MX71, Michelin Starcross 5 Hard, Pirelli Scorpion MX Hard.

1 Comparison based on Battlecross X40 vs. the Bridgestone M603 & M604.  Results may vary.
