Hydraulic Brake Light Switch

The switch works great if you only ride on the street or light dirt riding. If you only thosse conditions the switch can last years.....but when you get into hard dirt riding where you stomp on the rear brake before hitting a tire......you'll end up getting more and more travel from the brake lever.....the switch is getting crushed from the pressure.. all 5 of the swithes i had died the same way.....but i still need it for 50% of my riding

I'm ordering my third one the last two only work for a few months...I need the brake light. I hope this one lasts longer...I suspect corrosion.

This is junk. Worked at first. After 4 rides over 5 months it no longer does. Boy do I feel ripped off.

Worked for a week and not it doesn't work. Used an ohm meter and it is erratic with very high resistance. Piece of junk!

Installed switch effortlessly, properly secured wiring, bled brakes, but did not connect to harness, but did check for continuity, every thing was great until three weeks later, when finally connected to wiring, switch did not work, all wires test good. Very dissatisfied with this product, Will not recommend. --- CRF\'s Only editorial note --- All this product does is provide a switch to complete an electrical circuit. There is no existing harness to connect this switch to as the CRF250X and CRF450X are not set up electrically for a brake light. If you bypass the switch the brake light should light if your electrical wiring is good. Easy to test this by bypassing the switch. If the brake light doesn\'t light up when bypassing the switch you have a problem in your wiring not the switch. Again, you have to be familiar with electrical systems to properly install this product.

worked for a few months then worked intermittently now it doesn\'t work. In my testing I have found that when the switch is closed by the pressure created by pressing the brake, the circuit closes but the conductivity isn\'t sufficient to activate the transistor in my led brake light circuitry. --- CRF\'s Only Comments --- Several factors, other than a faulty switch, can create this situation. For example, air in the brake line, any debris in the brake line or switch, faulty wiring and corroded connections to name a few. Combinations of these factors are often the culprit.

It Doesn't work. I must have a bad switch. Major bummer!!!!

It worked great just as easy as taking out one bolt and putting it back in !!!
