    KM-IV Survivor!!!

    by elmo450x » Sun Aug 03, 2008 9:44 pm

I just got back from KM. I gotta say, this is probably the coolest bunch a gearheads a guy would want to get mixed up with. Many thanks to all who welcomed in the "kinda-new guy", it was nice to put faces to the screen names.

As of this morning there were no injuries and/or bike failures, hopefully the next wave of returning riders can confirm continued good luck for the crew.

Here's a google earth shot of the saturday ride(clockwise from Troy's):

I have my Garmin track file downloaded, so if anyone with mapsource wants it, shoot me a PM

Unfortunately I had to forego todays ride because of my travel time,... damned work keeps getting in the way of my fun ](*,)

It was great meeting and riding with you. I am sure later this week all of the stories and photos will begin to flow.

I will save what I know to keep from stealing any thunder.

It was definitely a great weekend for riding.
I had a lot of fun riding with you guys and meeting you guys as well. Today my dad's plan was Rattlesnake, so we'll see if he follows through with it, knowing him tho, I highly doubt they will end up doing it, lol

My ride got to my house at about 10:30.

By the time we got to camp parked the trailer and were ready for bed it was 4:30. I got up at 7 to get situated and say hi to the group. After our ride at about 10:30 I was a zombie. I had a great time though.

Hey Pete, I just got home about an hour ago. Had a great time. Thanks for the Hospitality. Trail map looks cool. The ride on Sunday was harder than Saturday's. Hope your feeling better.

    Hey Pat.

He actually followed through. Myself, PT, Gevo and Dan all made the ROUND trip to Rattlesnake and back to camp with NO injuries (Monday, Aug 4).

Rattlesnake is indeed a great trail with about 12 creek crossings, steep hills, lotsa rocks and technical stuff all around....not to mention a few down tree trunks across the trail just to liven things up.

As for all the others, great meeeting everyone. This adventure just keeps getting BETTER each year I make it !!!
