    Which 1 1/8 handle bars 300L

    by Klctime » Sun Aug 01, 2021 4:58 am

I just bought a 2021 300LA and want to upgrade the bars to 1 1/8” so I can add hand guards easily.
I would prefer the ProTaper Contour but I have not seen any post using these yet and their website does not list the 300L yet in the selector provided to confirm compatibility.
Can someone please post if they have done this upgrade or if you know for certain any 1 1/8 bars fit without binding any brake, light or throttle lines?
Any info would be very appreciated!

If possible I’d like to add a little lift of 1/2-1” also but this isn’t crucial.

Newbie to bikes!! Need all the help I can get.

Welcome to the site !! \:D/

Any of the 1-1/8 bars should work , what you want to do is measure your stock bars and find some that are about the same width , with that the same , you should not have issues with controls , as all the controls utilize the 7/8" part of the bar , so all you will need is adaptors that are from 7/8" to 1-1/8" .... Like these .. https://www.crfsonly.com/catalog/produc ... ts_id/7542 ... They will also slightly raise your bar height , so you will accomplish 2 goals with just the adaptor, the only issue you might run into is the height , as that might make it difficult to get things in their place , depending on how much slack the controls have , to be able to move them , but you can also try rerouting the control cables/lines to make them work if needed ..

For getting the bend you want as well as height .... Use this Renthal Bar Bend Guide , you choose .... Bar 1: 604 RC / HON CRF 04-18 KAW KX/KXF 2006-21 , then move the slide to Bar 2 , then choose a bar , it will compare the 2 and give you what the difference is , and the Bar 1 will show you what the measurement at each location is for the stock bar , so you use that as a comparison to yours , as well as for a new bar to get the size , sweep(pullback) , and height

So this should get you on your way to finding a suitable bar for your specific needs ....

    Hope that helped ... ;)
