    Replacing k&n filer with oem..

    by theupsguy92 » Wed Jun 16, 2021 4:18 pm

Hello there, a newbie here. I recently bought a fairly stock 2017 crf250L, with the only mods being an FMF pipe, k&n filter and a fuel control module. Since I'm not a big fan of k&n filters, would replacing this with a more air restrictive oem filter alter the performance much, or will the fuel control module adjust accordingly to the new filter?

Welcome to the site !! \:D/

You should be fine going to a standard filter , it will not really affect performance or anything else , and yes your bike will adjust to the mixture and be fine , as long as you don't over oil the standard filter , if the filter is dripping with oil it is over oiled , you should be able to squeeze out the oil with your hands , don't wring it out , just squeeze till it stops flowing oil , and you should be good ....
