Moving from a CRF230F to a CRF250L

Hi All
I just sold my CRF230F (already regretting it) as I need a licensed dual sport bike.
I live quite a distance from the gravel roads and as I do not own a trailer, I always had to sneak around on the back roads at odd hours (dodging law enforcement with my CRF230F) to go ride gravel. It was just not worth the stress.
Now, my question is:
How does the CRF250L compare to the CRF230F?
I know weight will be heavier but in general......will the ride (engine characteristics) feel more or less similar?
The reason I ask is that I have no opportunity to test ride a CRF250L. I reside in an area where there are no CRF250L bikes available to test ride so I am scouting the For Sale sections and if I find a bike at the right price I will drive, inspect, pay and return home with the bike.
There is no money for the new CRF300L so used CRF250L will have to do.
Have any of you made the change that can give some input?

I don't have any experience with one , I know Ray is a 230 aficionado , so he may have some knowledge of the comparisons , hopefully he will chime in ..... But I would suspect that it would be slightly more powerful , but with mostly the same characteristics as the 230 , the suspension should be a bit better as well , I don't think you would be disappointed , it will just be a little bulkier to maneuver is all I would suspect

On another note , have you considered a Hitch Hauler , they are relatively inexpensive compared to a trailer (between $80.00 to $250.00), and much easier to travel around with and park , I use one almost exclusively for riding , and only use my trailer when I have more than 1 bike going or am hauling my ATV around

I did consider one of those haulers (sold under the name X-ramp here by us) but then decided to rather sell the 230F in order to buy a 250L.
I have looked at several YT videos and I think I will be happy with a 250L.
I am scanning the various For Sale platforms on a daily basis now.

Looking forward to a lot of seat time on the bike

Good looking bike Samanjo.
Is the seat height taller than the 230 or does it just appear that way.

Thank you Jim
The bike has a few scratches but nothing serious and she cleans up pretty nice :D
It is a low mileage bike (when purchased, it only had 5669km on odo)

Well, I am 4 months and 2500km into ownership if this bike and still very happy.
No issues at all.
