Hello guys,
I have a CRF250L 2015 model. Suddenly the EFI is not turning on at all. I tried turning off and on the kill switch several times but no luck. Battery and fuses are all good. Not sure what the cause though. I washed the bike like 4 days ago and had the same problem but it worked when I turned off and on the kill switch. But this time nothing works. Please advice me on this. Thank youu

Welcome to the site !! \:D/

Unfortunately , the issue is because you washed the bike and got the switch wet ....... The kill switch gets moisture inside it , if you try to start the bike with the moisture in it , it will usually fry the switch .... I am hoping that eventually Honda goes back to the old style kill button , as this new electronic one is not sealed tight enough to allow it getting wet .....

You might end up having to replace the switch ,,, then the next time you wash it , do what I do with my 2020 450R , put a gallon size ziploc bag over the bar end covering the switch and secure it in place with a garbage bag tie , then wash your bike , then remove the bag ..... This is a common issue with the new gen bikes , and I wish Honda would come up with a better switch design , as this happens way too often .... :(

Hello thanks for the reply. Im not sure if that's the case. Coz it was working fine for few days after the wash. And this has happened once before and the mechanic fixed it, he said he did a reset and all good. But il not sure whats actually causing the problem 😪

It still might be the kill switch , they have a lot to do with the bike running correctly
