    93 Octane with EJK?

    by JBD319 » Wed Jun 13, 2018 9:41 am

Hi all! New Rally owner here. First off, what a great bike! The suspension was as soft as the review said, but with the full FMF powerbomb/PC4 exhaust and EJK honestly the power is right where I want it. I'm an experienced street rider but dirt novice, and I'm loving the hell out of this bike.

Anyway, my question is this: I know in the manual it recommends 87 octane fuel. Curious if there's any benefit to running a higher octane with the EJK installed, i.e. if it can make enough adjustments to make use of the different fuel?

Thanks for any and all help! Pic of my Rally for attention!

    Nice looking bike!
With standard compression ratio the need for the higher octane fuels is not required. If you are going to higher octane to get away from ethanol fuels then yes. That said I run 98 RON fuel in my 230 in case the two smokers I ride with need a top up when out on the trail. My bike doesn't run any better for it and it is dearer but is better then someone in the group pushing a bike.

It starts,it runs,it gets to where all CRFs can get to without the valve or valve plate dramas
