    250L CA Green Sticker?

    by jlindy86 » Mon Nov 11, 2013 9:07 am

    Hi all,
Kinda new to this forum, had a 250X for a few years but sold it before moving from Wisconsin to California. Looking at picking up a 250L now to use as a commuter and get out on some of the OHV trails. I'm guessing it qualifies for a green sticker in CA, but does anyone know for sure?
    Thanks,
    Jason

With the on highway plate you do not need a green sticker. You are good to go. Just be sure to carry registration documents with you

    Thanks Old Dude!
So I pulled the trigger and should be picking it up this week. Already planning on making a few upgrades, first and foremost being the suspension which is definitely on the soft side (and I'm not that big at a whopping 160lbs).
The biggest question I have is on tires. How well do the stock tires work on the trail? I'm looking to use the bike primarily on trail and only on the road to get to the trail and a few small trips around town <5 miles. I'm guessing best option would be the most aggressive tread DOT approved tire I can find...any suggestions?
