    250X vs 250F shocks...

    by Mtngoat00 » Mon Mar 02, 2020 3:35 pm

Does anyone know if the shocks on a 2016 250X are similar to the 250R allowing front wheels to be swapped back and forth? I was hoping to buy a set of Tusk wheels from Rocky Mtn/ATV but they do not list a front wheel for the 250X only the 250R???? I have written to them but have not heard back yet. Both have 49mm Showa forks but I wonder if there is spacing or axle differences. Thanks in advance.....!

Sorry for the late reply , did not see this post ....... 8-[

The difference with the X and R front wheel is the hub accommodation for the odometer and axle and spacers , if you wanted to put a R front wheel on a X you would need the R axle and spacers , as the X hub and spacer (on right) is made for the odometer , where the R does not have that , so the axle is different length where it sticks out of the right lug due to the difference in spacer and lack of odometer provision on the right side

So you can run a R wheel , but you need a R axle and spacers to make it work .... ;)
