    2006 CRF250X paranoia

I bought this 250 a few weeks ago and it's had a sort of slight knock to it. I don't think it's anything wrong with it, it's probably just normal. At least that's what the mechanic said, "all the Hondas do that." I'll link a video of it starting and running. Bear in mind the knock sounds worse in the video and it's only at low RPMs.

It sounds fairly "normal" , i also noticed in your video , you have a Aluminum Skid Plate , the thing is with them is they reflect and amplify noise because of the Aluminum being "hollow" sounding , and the fact that the shape resembles a bowl or Radar Dish , which is made to reflect and amplify things , noise being one of them , i would bet if you temporarily removed the skid plate the noise would be much less noticeable

My son's 06 had a knocky sound at low idle, near the stall.
I raised the idle speed just a tad and never heard it again.

Jim is absolutely right about a skid plate being a reflector and amplifier of noises.
