I've got a 250X that the kind folks here helped me get running well. Man does it run well... It's been 30 years since my last 250 bike. This one is a different machine.
I had a question for those with a JD Jetting kit installed. Mine has an open air box (about 4" x 4"). All I've ever ridden is 2 strokes. I notice that the throttle on this 250X is pretty sensitive and a little non-linear. I assume that this is from the stepped taper of the JD needle. To me it seems to mimic the power band of a 2 stroke. I was just wondering if others had noticed this. Is this due to the stepped needle or just a 4-stroke characteristic?
I'm not complaining about it, I was just curious about others with this kit installed.
