Hi gang,
I just tore the bike down to put a new head on it and bump up the compression etc. I have been surfing for cams and do have a 08 R on the shelf that I bought for the X but I am going to save that for my 05 R as I have become pretty locked in on lugging and banging along on the rough single track stuff and don't want to sacrifice the bottom end. I have looked at countless cams online and the default is the Hot Cams stage 1 but when I look at the dyno charts it lacks the smooth profile of my existing cam and seems to loose to it in the very low rpm range as well.
That said I see that there are two OEM cams P#'s 670 or 770. Can anyone speak to the difference between the two? Always looking for more bottom end. Thanks, Matt
