Does anyone have a wiring diafram for installing the DRC brake light and a Hydraulic brake switch?

    Thanks

    DRC LED Light:

First the hydraulic brake switch works by completing a circuit to add more juice to the tail light so that it gets brighter.

Also, cut the green and black wires about 3" before the harness, so that I could unplug the light if needed.

That said, hears how it's hooked up.

    1. Black wire(power) from the bike to yellow wire from DRC and one lead of the hydraulic switch.

The above connections are to give the tail light power and to provide power for the brake light that will work when the circuit is completed by depressing the rear brake.

    2. The red wire from the DRC to the other lead from the brake switch.

    3. The green wire from the bike to the black wire from the DRC. This will ground everything.

DRC indicates using the red wire as the running light and the yellow as the brake. However, it doesn't work properly when used in this configuration.

    Hope this helps....Ken

    DRC LED light trouble

I have a '15 CRF 450X and wired the DRC LED three wire up like this - your green is gray on my bike - and now my bike will not start. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The problem is both Honda and DRC have been known to change their wire colors. So, it's best to use a multimeter to verify each wire on the bike and a battery to verify the wires on the DRC light.

To your question, check the fuse. If it is fried remove the DRC light FIRST before replacing the fuse. Then follow the above to wire it up correctly.

You could have lost ground so check that as well. You may have to remove the DRC light and diagnose it from there. Go back to the basics of troubleshooting a bike not starting, spark, fuel, air, compression, etc.
