    Kibblewhite Valve question.

    by IamTheCowboy » Fri Mar 16, 2007 7:22 pm

I am ordering the stainless valves before mine burn out. Has anyone done this without having the valve seats cut? From what I know, if the valves are still good, there should be no reason to cut the seats. Anyone have any first hand experience with this situation. Like I said, my valves are still good and haven't moved yet. I just want to be pro-active!
    Thanks Guys! (and girls)

I can't see a reason to not have the valve seat cut. The seats wear unevenly as do the valves. Putting a true surface against an uneven one will result in bad compression among other things.

    Have the seats cut.

Sounds good. My local guy has those valves at 20% off, so I figured now is a good time to get them! (Sorry Ken).
