Quick question. When removing the backfire screen should one cut out the screen and retain the steel frame or is the plastic outer frame sufficient on its own thanks :?:

Plastic outer frame is all you need. Bend the metal tabs from the inner metal screen and remove from plastic cage.

Thanks for the incredibly quick response. Gonna install the Jd kit ,42 pilot, twin air filter. Want to open up the stock exhaust diffuser as well. whats the best approach for that?

Pull the stock diffuser out (Torx screw from bottom).
Work it out slowly using two screwdrivers as pry bars. Do not twist until its at least 1" out. When it pops out, cut the discs off the back and drill a 1/2" (or bigger hole) in the end. It will increase flow substantially, but keep the noise low.
