New Plastic and Graphics for an X

    by redrider666 » Fri Feb 02, 2007 7:39 pm

I am looking at putting new platic on my 04 CRF250X and would like to invest in some aftermarket graphics. I saw some really cool lookingt stuff from One Industries, but it would appear they only make it for the R version. They sell kits with all the plastic and the stickers together. Wondering if any company out there does this for the X. Have you guys had any luck with other graphics companies? It seems that the Acerbis is the standard for replacement plastic (fenders, sideplates, front plates, and shrouds). I've been told some guys just trim the R version to fit the X. Is this how everyone does it? Sounds a little mickey mouse to me. Thanks for the info.

no the plastic is not all the same.. # plate/airbox and rear fender are much different than r... shrouds are i think close and frt fender is ok ... Acerbis makes a good kit for the x .. see if they have it here.. have the black plastic on mine :D also FX makes good graphics as well.... nice # plate stuff...

I bought white Acerbis plastic for my X. I have also bought two different Graphic's kits for a "CRF250". One from FX and the other from One Industries and both fit just fine. If you buy pre-printed number plate backgrounds, you definetly want to specify the X, due to the airbox door.

If you pick up a graphics kit for the R, the rear fender decal will have to be trimmed to fit around the tail light. Also isn't hard trimming out the airbox door. Don't worry - if you take your time it won't turn out mickey mouse ;)

I just replaced all my plastic on my 04 X. I went to another site.com and bought stuff seperatly because I have the R rear fender. The shrouds and front fender are the exact same part # with acerbis. They also have an 05 (i know it's outdated) HotWheels graphic kit for the R which fits. It has the seat cover, shrouds, upper/lower forks, front fender, rear fender air box, and swingarms all included for $41.00. For the numbers on an X I went to attackgraphics.com to pick them out and you can purchase them through rockymount atv/mx. They have the 2 piece side panels and you can get the front numbers plate of the R if you have it or the X. They are really helpful and are very competivly priced. the plastics came to $122.00 and the kit is right there at the same price if you are doing some R parts. Good luck.
