~ will help you... he will say that the pink wire controls the Rev limiter. By bypassing or 'removing' the pink wire from the circuit, you are technically removing the rev limiter from the power cycle. You will be able to increase the top end revs by 500 rpms. Good for the top end punch... but a little hard on the valves if you are consistently running you bike pinned out. Agent?

p.s. thats the way it works on a 250X... I think.

True.
You will not see any power gains as the ignition curve is designed to work with the R cam. If your aren't running the R cam then you won't benefit.
As for the extra 500 rpms?? Why? the bike revs high enough, you stop making power before 10,000 rpms anyhow.

Thanks for the feedback halen, I will see if the agent can help? iv'e carried out the airbox mod and removed the spark arrester. I look to re-jet the bike soon. I'm going to bag me a red rocketship....

weeza... I'd be looking to re-jet NOW.
The bike is very lean to start with, by allowing more air into the system (i.e. airbox mod etc.) it makes the problem worse. Balancing the fuel/air ratio is very important. Some may dis-agree but IMO doing one mod without the other is not a good idea. Jets and airbox modification should be considered ONE mod.
Look to some of the 'senior' guys here and read up on the posts... you'll find awesome information, from some awesome people that know their stuff.
