Not tracking straight

I took a pretty good digger this weekend riding and after assessing the obvious damage (muffler, rear fender, both side plates, Fat Bars, and a little tweak in the subframe) I noticed my front wheel doesn't line up straight. What happened was, I came thru a big mudd puddle with a little wheelie and my back wheel popped up a little and when it caught traction again, everything came back on me. I didn't see the bike until it stopped doing what it was doing about 20 feet away from me obviously, but I can't figure out what is bent or how to figure it out. I took the front wheel off and it's not warped or bent, but there was some damage to the plastic on my disk brake cover, but everything went back together fine. My idea is that when the bars bent (throttle side) it tweaked the triple clamps. I'm not sure though. Anyone have any ideas?

Its not unusual for the bars to get misaligned with the triple clamps and front wheel after a get off. This has happened to me several times. The rubber cones will tweak very easily. You need to loosen the bar clamps at the bars and under the top triple clamps, and reinstall. A one piece top bar clamp like the ones that come with applied racing triple clamp sets will help prevent this from happening. I don't know if anyone sells a one piece top bar clamp separately.

If you still have a problem, you may need to loosen the clamps around the fork tubes (top and bottom), realign, and reinstall.

The above should work, but if this doesn't work, you may have bigger problems like bent fork tubes (hopefully not).

I had a similar problem with a little bike. I thought the forks or clamps were bent. All that was wrong was the forks were twisted in the triple clamps. I loosened everyting up, got it straight and it was fine. Good luck.

Worked like a champ. Got a little scared though when I loosened up the triple clamps and my forks started dropping, but it all worked out. Thanks guys.
