hmmmm.... i was on ebay today and seen an airbox for a 250R, does anyone know if it would fit the x? im thinking it would but the battery tray might be in the way. Does anyone have any experience with this? i need a new sealing ring anyway and the stealership wants $80 just for the sealing ring! I can get an R airbox, complete for only $50.

No. The subframe is different, the battery box is missing, the R doesn't have a door.

What sealing ring are you referring to?? The one on the door?

nope the sealing ring on the air filter. The one that the filter slides over.

I know the R doesn't have a door, thats another reason i want to try to fit it on my bike. it should fit in the subframe even with the battery tray because the entire top is open for filter maintenence.

If you swap in a R box, how are you going to access your filter??

Take the battery & box out each time?? or just remove the battery altogether?
