Just picked up a 250x... fork spring change question

Thanks to a fellow CRF's Only member I'm now the proud new owner of a low hour previously enjoyed 250X in excellent shape.

He installed heavier springs in the forks and rear shock. I want to put the stockers back on for the weekend for a buddy to ride.

I've been looking at the owners manual, and I just can't tell for sure. Would it be possible to pull the fork damper from the top of the bike, with the forks stil installed, and do a spring swap without dissassembling the fork and needing to refill with fluid and all?

I wouldn,t go thru all that work for a guy to ride my bike for the weekend. He probably couldn,t,t tell the difference anyway.

And you have to take the fork off and disassemble it.It is a lot of work.
