JD's chart will give you the best formula.
It really takes all the guesswork out of your jetting tasks.

Yours may be a unique one, though, since you're interested in keeping it street legal. I'm trying to imagine not passing inspection for decibal reasons if you do choose to stay with the 'R' exhaust, considering ours is only a 250cc motor, when so many Harley's are much bigger and louder.

Yup I'd be pretty upset if I hear weeks from now they flunked you due to noise. :? That wouldn't be right.

Yeah! I just want to keep it legal so I can dualsport as much as possible.I've already jumped thru a bunch of hoops to get a plate.. Don't want to lose it now! I guess I'll stay with the 'X' stock exhaust and jet to that. Like I said I'll get JD's kit asap and go from there.
Thanks for all the help! Back to you soon!

If you stay with the stock exhaust, the only difference will be the main going back to a 158 instead of a 162.

    Good Luck.

Pozo is a fun ride from home then on to La Panza and back. Total miles about 100. I need to bring extra gas if I ride from home. I have yet to ride Ballinger or Rockfront. Which are bith close to here also.

I live in Santa Clarita now, but I used to live in SLO and SB. Went to school at Cal Poly.

I have ridden Pozo, High mountain lookout, Cuesta Grade, Rockfront Ranch and the trails across the 166 from there. Haven't done Ballinger, but someday maybe.
