I'm stuck on where to mount the sensor at the rear wheel on my 2008 250x for the original digital speedo, if someone could point me in the right direction or even post a picture of theirs it would be much appreciated.

The Aus bikes are different than the U.S. models , hopefully Ray will chime in and have a idea where it goes ..... the 08 X's over here use a speedo cable and a mechanical trip meter on the front wheel hub .....

I thought they were all on the front wheel too, on right hand side.
Have to try remember who did adr electrics, LOL.
Probably best I look it up. May have a picture.

If there is no obvious place at the front wheel then a previous owner may have changed the bushings to delete it. Does happen from time to time.

The mechanical pick up was on the front wheel (was on there when I bought the bike) and went to the competition odometer but I have taken it off to put the original ADR speedo back on, I believe it picks up the signal from the bolts in the rear disk but I'm still not sure exactly where to mount it

What brand is the adr speedo, it did change at some point I think.

Acewell was brand I believe. ACE-1500 unit, is this what you have?
