    CRF230F transmission oil

    by colsb » Sat Apr 08, 2017 4:45 pm

My dad and I replaced the motor oil on my bike from instructions in the manual no mention of transmission fluid change anywhere, wondering where the transmission oil fill and drain are? Can't seem to find either..

I'm thinking it is shared with the engine, is that correct?

You are correct. The engine oil is also the transmission and clutch lubrication. That is the reason it's so important to change regularly and have the proper level.

    Hope that helps.

The 230f is super easy to maintain. Just change your oil frequently! thats all. Also keep up on your fork seal maintenance. I owned a 2013 230f for 5 years and that was the only thing that ever failed on me. Bulletproof bike and a great learner.
