    Trail tech voyager

    Ive installed the voyager on my 2009 crf450x every thing work great but the rmp is saying 8100 at idle, I have hook the wire up to the coil, alsoiwrapedthesparkplug wire and got the same results. Any ideas?

    Just did the software update and was able to change seting from 1 to 2 and set the sensitivity to low so it now reads around 4000

    Try setting it to the TACH setting, not the 1 or 2. That's what mine is set at and it works great. Mine is also connected to the blade connector on the coil and only wrapped twice.

    I called trail tech from what he said the 2012 has a differnt ingnition, ant the head unit needs a different chip witch is a fix they just start to ship to stores also will have software update 2.07, they are traded out my voyager head unit. So far I'm impressed with the customer service for trail tech as long as they do what they said they would

    trail tech does have great support. however, i am confused by what you were told. the 450X ignition has not changed from '05-12 according to Honda microfiche. also, don't you have an '09 450X?

    I have 2012, Travis at trailtech said it was a change to the unit different board and update 2.07, the update u can down load is 2.06, he said they just started shipping the updated unit about 2 weeks ago, it should be on my door step when I get home tomorrow, I'll let you know how it works out

    sounds good. i also have a message into our trail tech rep to find out more about this upgrade and the reason for it. we have stock so i want to make sure we are not sending out the same issue you have experienced.

    definitely let us know how the new unit works for you.

    New unit install the tach works just like it should new update gave the option of a bar graph for the tach like the vapor I believe, And sorry i need to learn to boule check my typing with this I pad it auto fill and stuff.. Is the bille holder needed, I'm using the triple clamp mout for mine because I'm running. The Easton 1 3/8 bars,

    The unit look safe but wonder what other have noticed
