Nick Susco wrote:I must disagree with your idea that if you were on your arches it wouldn't have happened. You should be riding on the balls of your feet most of the time. Only when you are shifting should you slide your feet forward on the pegs. In few exceptions like going down steep hills or under hard braking you might be forward. For the most part if you are on the balls of your feet you have the ability to raise up and absorb hits with your anckle pivoting and giving added suspension to landings. Don't know what you did wrong but my thoughts are you may have been back on your ankles with no movement left in them. Stand tall on the balls and you may have absorbed the impact better. On flat landings I also throttle hard which helps to keep bike moving forward instead of all the impact going straight down. A lot of technique comes into play to keep the impact level low.

I see you have an '07. Freshened the suspension yet?
