Took a nice fall on the track and thought I broke my wrist. Went to the ortho Monday and am now in a cast. Appears I dislocated my #2, #3, #4, and #5 carpal metacarpal whatevers. Basically, the bones between/connecting your knuckle area to your wrist area. The bones normally line up with the little cluster of bones that actually make up your wrist. Mine had lifted and gotten pushed over the top of the little wrist cluster. Luckily, no surgery. They numbed me up, hung my arm from a couple of chinese finger puzzle things, hung a 10lb. weight on my elbow for a few minutes, and then pushed the joints back into place (considering the injury, the doctor said this was a "best case scenario" and it could have been a lot worse.)
Basically, bone #'s 10, 11, 12, and 13 were lifted and shoved over the top of bone #'s 6, 7, and 8.

Anyway, the hard cast stays on for about four weeks and then another three to four weeks in a removable cast.
Best wishes for all and STAY OFF THE INJURED LIST!
This vid was from earlier in the day (before the big dirt sample on the track that crapped out the hand.) Along with the 1-mile natural terrain track, there are some small hill climbs that are kind of fun and still offer a challenge here and there (especially for me...) Nothing terribly exciting. Just some good dirtbike fun among dirtbike friends. Good times....
