What year 150R to stay above if I can ?

Looking at buying the wife a 150R

Shes been riding a 2014 AJP PR3 240 for the last six months, but parts, let alone after market parts are really hard to sort.
And 3 things I'd like to make better for her(gear, brake and clutch lever) seems like its a no go :(

    Anyhow,
Here in NZ, 2nd hand MX bikes sell cheap.
I can buy new if I want, but a two year old 150R sells for less than half the price.
The fly wheel and clutch I would want to change for her doesn't seem so bad if I go 2nd hand, and even if I costed in a top end and valves, I'd still be better off over just the price of new. And with new I'd still have to do the fly wheel and clutch.

If I go older than two years it can get very cheap.

But what I want to know is, what year do I want to stay above if I can ?

    Other info.
Around 830mm seat hight is a must.
Bike needs to be 100kgs or less, thats max.
e-start is nice (the AJP has it) but not a deal breaker.
2 smoker is out, would be no good for how she rides.
Shes 5ft3in and 54kgs (with out gear)
She likes to come out with me when I'm at an easy track
Looking at a Rekluse z-Start to get around the lack of e-start and having to kick it if she was to stall.
