    CRF150R Stroker Crank

    by DownerRacing » Wed Mar 31, 2010 5:46 pm

    Hey all,

We've got a 150R and we're having the motor rebuilt, looking into a stroker crank for it, anybody running them? How has your experience been? We're looking at a +2mm Hot Rods Crank for it. We're already running the pipe and intake setup we like for it. Also just threw in a barnett carbon clutch. If anybody else has experience w/ it I'd be very happy to hear from you about it.

this does increase your displacement so before you do this check your race rules. it will increase torque at the expense of not rev'ing up as quickly.

we've had no reports of decreased reliability with this crank. it's built to OEM standards so you should expect the same reliability and durability.

I've installed a few hotrod cranks, one being a stroker, not a crf150r but older 250 2 strokes, and never had problems with any of them, good quality stuff from my experience

the bike is getting quite the over haul!

    Just ordered:

new hot rods +2mm stroker crank
    new OEM cylinder
    JE piston
    new valves
    new valve seals
front and rear TAG sprockets 15/51
    front and rear dunlops

and recently just added new RAD wheels with hubs/spokes/nipples and what not.

All work being done by STOCKTON MOTO an excellent shop to work with!
