I just traded my 230F for a 150R and love the power, but need to find a way to quiet it down. I'm looking for recommendations on the quietest mod for this bike. Some sacrafice in performance is acceptable. If there is an effective insert, that would be great. I would prefer to not buy a new muffler (looks like they start at around $300), but if that is the only really effective way to address the noise, so be it. I'm not looking for 4-5 dB; I'd like to reduce it at least 10 dB and need a spark arrestor. Thanks for any assistance.

i have a silencer insert for my wife's crf150r, I will let you know what brand it is if you are still interested. We dont use it yet... but i tried it and it is alot quieter.

I bought new FMF 4-stroke silencing packing for inside the exhaust and also a pro moto bullet spark arrester with end cap and it made a big difference for the sound. But if your looking to drop a full 10 dB then your only option might be a FMF slip on pipe or a full new exhaust.
