Fuel Screw with the cable...anyone have one?

Looking to put the adjustable fuel screw on both my kids 150R's. We took a ride up in the mountains, about an 2,500 foot increase in elevation and the bikes did not run well at all. The fuel screw is impossible to adjust on the trail, so I'm looking at the one that CRF's only sells that has the "cable" attached to it. Looks like it would make adjustment very easy. Does anyone have this fuel screw, and do you like it??

I installed one on a friend's bike and it is awesome!

If I didn't already have the CRF'sONLY fuel screw, I'd get the R&D.

Works like a charm. My only complaint is I wish it was a 2 o-ring style like Works Connection, Sunline, Pro Circuit etc. The reason being, crud gets into the bore in the area before the threads.

I seemed pretty good. It worked great for a few days now it won't turn in either direction more than a 1/4 of a turn. I need to take it out and see whats going on. I hope the threads in the carb are not shot or I am looking at some SERIOUS issues.

When it works though...so much better than anything else. I had a zipty and could not get at it without needle nose pliers. I don't like those T handle ones either. My friend has one on his 230 and you can't turn that one without pliers either unless you want to burn the crap out of your hand

I had a similar problem. Lube the threads & you'll be fine. That was the one issue I had with it & why I wished it had 2 o-rings.

Is there only one type that fits most carbs or is there a specific one for the 230F? When I compare the stock screw to the FlexJet screw, they aren't even close looking. Also, what is the easiest way to get the "D" style fuel screw from a 100F out, without buying a special tool?

Ok, here's the scoop... Just got off the telephone with Dean of R&D and he tells me that this won't fit the CRF230F carb. :( This cable is for the higher end carbs found on MXer's. He will custom make one for me if I send him the whole 230F's carb plus $70.00.

Just get the CRF's ONLY "T" handle fuel screw. It work's just as well and is $20.

Sounds like the plan. Too bad there isn't a cable screw for the 230F. Great idea.

It is my understanding that this will fit ANY fcr carb, which is probably why it differs from the fuel screw on the 150r as it is universal to the FCR carbs?
